Reporting Services 2005 Wmi Error
Repairing Report Services WMI Provider To register the WMI namespace for Reporting Service Close all instances of Reporting Services Configuration Manager or SQL Server Management Studio. At a later time, I installed the Reporting services component and was getting the error posted in the thread. The most likely cause is an error retrieving WMI properties. At this point i ran the SP3 pack against Reporting Services and it updated RS to SP3 which was my original problem i think. I must have not had the right permissions. In addition to this problem, I'm not able to connect to my SSRS instance via SSMS on my desktop.
